Oxford HO Station Wagons: Chrysler Woody, Buick Estate, Nomad or Ford Squire?

South Sea Blue 1942 Chrysler Town and Country wagon with wood-panel decoration and roof rack

Choose the Chrysler for its 1942 woody-and-roof-rack presentation, the Buick for a 1954 estate wagon, the Nomad for the 1957 Chevrolet subject, or the Ford Squire for a 1964 woodgrain wagon. These Oxford models all fit the 1:87 range, but they serve different periods and collecting interests.

1942 Chrysler Town and Country: the roof-rack choice

The South Sea Blue Chrysler, 87CB42002, lists wood panels and a roof rack. Its approximate model length is 2.375 inches. The Regal Maroon version, 87CB42001, supplies another finish for the same named vehicle subject.

Choose the exact finish and rack appearance shown in the offer. Wood-panel wording describes the miniature's appearance, not a promise of real timber construction. Neither rack listing establishes that luggage or a canoe is included.

1954 Buick Century Estate: two-tone family-car presentation

The Willow Green and white Buick Estate is item 87BCE54003, listed at approximately 2.25 inches long. It gives a mid-1950s scene a family-wagon subject without selecting the later Ford or Chevrolet.

For a stronger contrast, a separate Matador Red and Carlsbad Black version is offered in the collection. Select by the whole two-tone arrangement rather than treating the first color in a title as the complete finish.

1957 Chevrolet Nomad: a focused Chevrolet choice

The Adobe Beige Nomad with Sierra Gold top, 87CN57008, is listed at approximately 2.25 inches. Choose it when the Nomad is the specific Chevrolet you want, rather than substituting any station wagon of a similar size.

The wagon shape can anchor a family-travel display, but this offer does not list loose travel accessories. Leave its role as a suggested scene rather than implying that passengers or baggage arrive in the box.

1964 Ford Country Squire: a later woodgrain option

The Vintage Burgundy Ford Squire, 87FC64003, lists woodgrain sides and a white interior at approximately 2.375 inches long. It is the relevant choice for a later Ford family-car scene, not a 1950s-only street.

A similarly named Country wagon in school-bus decoration is a separate release. Match the Squire code when the woodgrain finish is central to your purchase.

Choose the appearance, not an unlisted mechanism

All the linked wagon descriptions specify no opening panels and include a plastic showcase. An estate or wagon body does not mean its tailgate opens. For a static display, compare the side profile, roof decoration and interior color that will remain visible.

Pick the right year first, then the finish that complements your scene. Check current availability in the Oxford Diecast collection.
