Build an interactive steam sound installation with the SoundTraxx 884007 Tsunami2 TSU-2200 Steam-2. Its Dynamic Digital Exhaust responds to changes in motor load, so exhaust behavior can reflect the work being performed by the model.
Features and specifications
- Steam-2 sound profile; SoundTraxx part 884007.
- Dimensions: 35 × 18 × 6 mm.
- Maximum motor stall current: 2 amps.
- Six function outputs, rated at 100 mA each.
- Audio amplifier: 2 watts into an 8-ohm speaker load.
- DCC track voltage: 7–22 volts; 16 sound channels.
- Universal-style format for suitable HO- through S-scale installations.
- Connection for an optional 810140 or 810160 CurrentKeeper.
- Includes one TSU-2200 Steam-2 digital sound decoder.
Compatibility and installation
The TSU-2200 can connect to a compatible 9-pin DCC quick plug or be wired into a suitable model. An optional 810135 harness adapts it to an NMRA 8-pin plug. Check physical space, motor isolation, stall current and speaker impedance, and follow the Tsunami2 installation guide. Speaker, adapter harness, CurrentKeeper, locomotive and tools are not included.
