ACME Sprint Car Features: Removable Wings, Hood Cowls and Steering

Several ACME 1:18 winged sprint cars explicitly list removable wings, a removable hood cowl and positionable wheels. Those features suit a collector who wants to vary a stationary display, but they are not promises of powered movement or interchangeable race-car parts.

Three features worth separating
The 2026 Ryan Timms number 10 model, A1826011, identifies removable wings and hood cowl. A removable component is intended to come off; it is different from a hinged door that remains attached while opening. The listing does not publish a step-by-step removal procedure, so use the supplied instructions rather than pulling on a small support.
Positionable wheels provide a stated posing option. That does not establish remote-controlled steering, a motor or tested rolling performance. Chassis and engine detail describe what can be viewed, not a running miniature engine.
Race-ready appearance or a pit-style arrangement?
With the supplied wings in place, the model presents the complete advertised winged-car subject. A display with the cowl removed puts more emphasis on the engine area. Choose that approach when examining mechanical detail is more important to you than keeping the car's complete outline.
Plan a safe place for any removed components before opening the package. A display that includes the car and detached pieces needs more usable surface than the closed model's footprint. Crew figures, tools and stands are separate items unless the particular offer names them as included.
Check another driver without assuming a different specification
The 2025 Jamie Veal number 35 SWI model, A1825020, also lists removable wings and hood cowl, positionable wheels and rubber tires. Both this offer and the Timms car give approximate dimensions of 8 by 4 by 4.5 inches.
When those documented features meet your requirements, the driver and decoration become the deciding factors. Neither listing establishes that one has better paint or stronger hinges than the other, and we have not performed a side-by-side physical test.
Do not apply the feature list to every sprint car
The Kyle Cummins number 3P USAC offer, A1809902, is a separately identified model. Its description lists positionable wheels and chassis detail but does not establish the same removable-wing and cowl arrangement. Select that car for its own subject and stated features.
Likewise, smaller 1:50 offers should not inherit features from a 1:18 listing. Removing a wing from a winged model also does not prove that its remaining body and chassis reproduce a different race car correctly.
Decide which parts you actually want to view or pose, then choose an exact release with those features stated. Review the current product descriptions in the ACME collection at Muncle Mikes.
