Vallejo Mecha Color Light Grey Wash, 17 ml – 69.515: Scale, Subject & Display Guide

Vallejo Mecha Color Light Grey Wash, 17 ml – 69.515 is the specific acrylic model wash represented by this listing from Vallejo. This guide interprets the exact record—its title, SKU, photographed item, variant state and catalog context—rather than stretching a generic category article over the product.

Product identity without guesswork

• Exact product: Vallejo Mecha Color Light Grey Wash, 17 ml – 69.515
• Brand or vendor: Vallejo
• Product type: Acrylic Model Wash
• SKU or catalog key: VLJ69515
• Finish stated in the record: Satin

The stated finish is Satin, which should be checked against the exact image rather than a generic brand photo. The working catalog key is VLJ69515. That key should travel with the saved URL and product image so a later comparison does not collapse this item into another acrylic model wash listing.

What the current listing actually confirms

The product page identifies the item this way: “Vallejo Mecha Color Light Grey Wash, 17 ml – 69.515 is a water-based acrylic wash for weathering mecha and model surfaces. Verified details Manufacturer: Vallejo Reference: 69.515 Range: Mecha Color Weathering. Color: Light Grey Wash. Contents: One 17 ml dropper bottle. The category-specific decision

For a diecast or scale collectible, the subject name alone is insufficient. Compare body casting, finish, graphics, wheel design, interior, base markings and packaging format. On Vallejo Mecha Color Light Grey Wash, 17 ml – 69.515, the exact photo set and SKU VLJ69515 are the reference pair; a model with the same vehicle name but a different wheel, road number or package is a different release.

Condition language must also match the format. A loose item is judged from the photographed surfaces and axles, while a packaged item adds card, blister, box and seal condition. A finished custom should be assessed for workmanship and disclosed modifications; a build kit should be assessed for included parts and fitment rather than as a completed collectible.

Second-pass inspection

When comparing another example, line up the images in the same order and inspect one feature at a time: front view, side graphics, rear treatment, wheel pattern, roof or hood markings, base text and package. A difference in any of those areas can indicate a variation rather than an error.

For display, choose storage that supports the item without pressing on mirrors, spoilers, blister edges or axles. For a build, dry-fit wheels and moving parts before paint or permanent adhesive. The product format determines which of those checks applies.

What to inspect in the product images

The gallery contains 1 indexed product image. Compare label text, package shape, visible contents, finish and any small identifying marks with the delivered item. A context image can show tools or related products that are not included, so the written record and selected option still control package contents.

Verification worksheet for this listing

Use VLJ69515 as the checkpoint for Vallejo Mecha Color Light Grey Wash, 17 ml – 69.515. Confirm the vendor name Vallejo, the product type Acrylic Model Wash, the selected variant and the photographed item before checkout. If a required size, scale, material, interface or included component is absent from the live record, write it down as unresolved and obtain the answer from the current instructions or manufacturer source.

After delivery, add a dated photograph and a brief result note. A builder can record fit, materials and finishing choices; a collector can record package and item condition; a user can record compatibility and care. Those details make the record genuinely product-specific while preventing a later observation from being confused with a factory specification.
