M2 Coca-Cola Three-Car Sets: Release 53 vs. 65 and Single-Car Options

Choose M2 Coca-Cola Release 53 for a yellow Nova, purple Econoline pickup and red-and-white Volkswagen. Choose Release 65 for a black Impala convertible, gray Econoline van and white Dodge pickup. Both are three-model 1:64 assortments, but they create quite different displays.

A Coca-Cola collection does not have to be entirely red. Matching the exact car, body style and item number helps you buy the version you want rather than another product with the same beverage logo.

Release 53: three contrasting colors and body shapes

Release 53, item 52500-A53, includes a yellow 1967 Chevrolet Nova, purple 1964 Ford Econoline pickup and red-and-white 1959 Volkswagen Double Cab. All three have the named Coca-Cola theme.

Choose this set when the Nova or compact pickup shapes are part of your collecting interest. The Volkswagen Double Cab is not a Beetle or a delivery van; a VW badge alone does not identify the right body.

The regular colors provide clear contrast on a shelf. For someone who enjoys both licensed graphics and different vehicle types, that variety may be more useful than collecting three near-identical versions of one car.

Release 65: convertible, van and Midnite Express pickup

Release 65, item 52500-A65, supplies a black 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS convertible with red interior, dark-gray-and-light-gray 1965 Econoline van, and white 1978 Dodge Adventurer 150 “Midnite Express” pickup with graphics.

The Impala is the reason to consider this set for an open-cabin car display. The Econoline here is a van, not the purple pickup in Release 53. Keeping the two product names distinct prevents an accidental repeat or an incorrect gift.

Choose the Dodge for the edition and decoration described in its listing. The “Midnite Express” name does not mean that every model carrying that name must be black; the regular vehicle in this particular offer is described as white.

One Coke model instead of an assortment

The red-and-white 1964 Impala SS Lowrider, item 51500-MJS01, is a separate single-car purchase with an opening hood and plastic display showcase listed.

It is not the black convertible extracted from Release 65. Choose it when that specific red body, white roof and lowrider presentation are the attraction, or when you only want one model to start the collection.

Buying a full set for one favorite is sensible only when you also want the other included vehicles. Compare current prices after deciding how many models you will enjoy, rather than assuming a multipack automatically saves money.

Cases, materials and what is not promised

The two three-model assortments specify individual display cases, metal bodies and chassis, rubber tires and approximate model lengths of 2.5–3 inches. Those lengths do not establish the outside measurements of the cases.

Neither assortment description gives a universal opening-panel list. The single Impala’s opening hood should not be copied into the specifications of every car in either set. These are finished vehicle models, not assembly kits.

Chase variants may replace regular models

Both assortment listings warn that a possible chase or super chase may replace a regular vehicle, but is not guaranteed. The regular lineups described above are subject to that condition. The warning does not promise a fourth car, an exact color variant or particular odds.
