Backdrafter Collector Guide
Backdrafter turns a fire engine into a big-wheeled fantasy machine. The exposed chrome pipes and oversized tires dominate the shape, but the decoration changes its character: early Engine 822 cars, later HWFD releases and a black-and-green five-pack version all have their own look.

What to look for
The red 2015 and 2017 releases are easy to confuse in a quick listing. The debut has red wheel rims and a black base. The later Rescue car changes to pale wheel rims and a yellow base. Those details are much stronger clues than red paint alone.

Choosing one for your collection
Check the rear platform, front corners and exposed chrome parts. Large wheels should sit straight rather than leaning into the body.
Inspect the colored wheel rims closely; they can lose their finish while the rest of a loose car still looks clean.
Collector questions
How do I tell the two red versions apart?
CFG75 has red wheel rims and a black base. DTX97 has white wheel detailing and a yellow base.
