Barbie Dream Camper Collector Guide
The Barbie Dream Camper puts a tall motorhome body, an over-cab sleeping area and an opening side panel into a small Hot Wheels package. Pink is the familiar look, but the graphics and trim change between releases. The purple 2026 camper makes the color change much easier to spot.

A little camper with more than one pink finish
GRX39 arrived in HW Getaways for 2021. HCT79 moved to HW Metro in 2022 with teal swirls and a different base finish. The 2026 Mattel series brought pink JJH96 and purple JJK72, both with landscape artwork. All four belong to the same Hot Wheels casting; the large Barbie doll camper is a different toy.

Choosing one for your collection
Inspect the opening panel and its hinge area before worrying about the card. On a loose camper, ask for photographs with the panel open and closed. The edge should sit neatly against the body, with no obvious cracks or missing pieces.
The wide side window and flat body panels show scratches readily. Look closely at the small artwork on the cab doors, then check the wheel rims and the underside. A pink body alone will not tell you which year you have.
Collector questions
How do I tell the pink campers apart?
Start with the side artwork: thin stripes on the 2021 car, teal swirls on the 2022 version, and landscape graphics on the 2026 release. Compare the wheels and base finish next; the three pink editions are not identical.
