Super Cannon & EnforcerHot Wheels collector guide
Super Cannon is the low, wedge-shaped armored car with the tall rear post and exposed weapons. Those little plastic parts deserve a closer look than the camouflage: a tidy body can still be missing something important.
Three names, one casting family
The shape began with the 1982 Megaforce Megadestroyer models, became Super Cannon in 1985 and returned as Enforcer in 1996. A Super Cannon name therefore does not mean the casting was new in 1985.
The pictured olive example has light-green, brown and tan camouflage. The separate black 1985 Battleground four-pack release uses a different paint and graphic combination. Do not use this olive photograph to authenticate a black car.
Count the fittings before judging condition
Look for the two roof missiles, rear post and both side-mounted weapons. In the photo, the roof pieces sit close together; a single side view can conceal a missing or bent part on the far side.
Ask for an overhead view and the opposite side. Check attachment points for pale stress marks, glue or broken stubs. Avoid pulling on the parts to test them.
The wheels and underside finish the record
The reference car has black wheel faces. Record that detail separately from the body color, then photograph the underside and its country marking. Later Enforcers can have quite different wheels and colors.
When comparing loose examples, completeness and repairs are more useful than a broad vintage label. Keep photographs of each finish in its own collection record so later comparisons do not mix the two.
The white wheels on collector #274
The white five-spoke wheels give this later olive car a different look from the black-wheel 1985 example above. The 1995 reference lists dark-olive paint, camouflage, black windows and a matching dark-olive Malaysia base, under item 11378 and collector number 274.
The preceding 1994 #274 entry uses white blackwall-style wheel faces. The collector number and body color alone therefore do not settle the version. Ask for a clear wheel photograph, then compare the package and underside.
This is the same low armored-car family, with small projecting weapons. It should not be described as a tank with one long rotating cannon barrel. The carded reference shows the actual shape and equipment.
