Evil WeevilA Volkswagen shape with Spoilers hardware
Evil Weevil keeps the familiar Beetle roofline, but the exposed engine details at both ends change the whole silhouette. Those projections deserve their own photographs when a loose example looks clean from the side.
Identify the Spoilers casting first
The 1971 Evil Weevil was made in Hong Kong as part of the Spoilers line. It has blue glazing and either a black or white interior. It is a separate design from the earlier Custom Volkswagen.
A recognizable Volkswagen roof is not enough to choose the right reference. Match the exposed components, body shape and complete base wording before comparing color or condition.
The cabin needs a well-lit view
Look through the glazing from above and from the side. Strong blue reflections can obscure a light interior, while a bright reflection can make a dark cabin appear lighter. Leave the color unresolved if neither view shows it clearly.
Do the same with the body finish. A photograph that emphasizes shine can hide chips around the windows and wheel openings. Ask about repainting or touch-ups before treating an unusual shade as a factory variation.
Check the exposed parts at both ends
Front and rear photographs help reveal broken projections, missing pieces and glue that a side view can conceal. Hold the body when handling the car rather than lifting it by an engine detail.
Inspect all four wheels and the axle alignment. Record repairs separately from ordinary play wear so a restored example can be compared fairly.
