The black #140 car
The documented 1992 mainline #140, item 3156, is black with pink, yellow and green stripes, yellow Turbo lettering, a red interior and a black Malaysia base. Chrome Hot Ones and Ultra Hots wheel versions are listed.
The black #140 family continued with other wheel styles. Body color and collector number cannot, on their own, date every black Flashfire to 1992. The small reference photograph shows an Ultra Hots example; close-ups of the actual car are still needed to judge condition.
What identifies the purple Krackle Car
The 1995 Krackle Car #284 uses purple paint with yellow crackle decoration, bright interior details and a tinted canopy. Documented combinations differ in canopy and interior color, logo color and wheel style. Ultra Hots, five-spoke and seven-spoke versions appear in the records.
Record that complete combination. The references differ on the year assigned to some later wheel versions, so original packaging matters for a year-specific claim. Do not turn an undocumented teal or dark-blue recolor into a supposed scarce Krackle release.
Separate printed cracks from damage
The yellow crackle pattern is intentional decoration. Inspect it in soft light so gaps in the printing are not confused with cracks in the canopy or damage to the body. Look along the canopy edge and rear wing for breaks or adhesive.
A wheel swap or a repaint may make an attractive display car, but neither establishes a factory variant. No production total or rarity premium follows simply from the Krackle name.
