Jaguar XJ2201995 release identification
The white Pearl Driver XJ220 keeps its decoration quiet. Its long, smooth body and dark glazing do most of the work, so the wheel faces are one of the quickest ways to narrow down an example.
What identifies the Pearl Driver
The 1995 Pearl Driver is collector #296, item 13283, and number 4 of four in the series. The release record describes pearl-white paint, a white interior, dark-tinted windows and a black Malaysia base. A white Hot Wheels logo is listed on the rear window.
The package in the photograph confirms the series and item number. It does not show the underside, so use a separate base photograph when identifying a loose car.
One finish, several wheels
Ultra Hots, five-spoke, seven-spoke and three-spoke versions are documented. The pictured car has Ultra Hots wheels. Do not assume that another wheel style makes an otherwise matching car a repaint or a different series.
Ask for both wheel faces in sharp focus. Photograph the rear window too: a worn white logo can disappear against glare.
Inspect the long edges
Look along the low nose, door sills and rear corners for chips. Check the glazing for scratches and the broad white surfaces for uneven color or touch-ups. A bright exposure can hide wear, so ask for a second photograph in softer light.
