Lamborghini CountachPlain white can be the right finish
An undecorated white Countach is not automatically missing its stripes. The older Hot Wheels casting was sold that way, as well as with printed racing decoration. Its wheels and base help separate the plain releases before you even reach for the package.
The early plain and striped cars
The 1988 Speed Fleet item 4384 is white without decoration, with a white Malaysia base and Ultra Hots wheels. The 1989 entry adds red-and-blue stripes and LP500S and Countach side lettering. A plain-white 1990 international release uses gold Ultra Hots.
White paint alone cannot settle the year. Inspect the areas where stripes would sit for scraping or fresh paint, and ask whether an example has been refinished. A legitimate plain release and an altered striped car can look alike in a thumbnail.
Later white cars change the wheels
The plain white #232 listed for 1996 has a red interior, white Malaysia base and five-dot wheels. Both clear and tinted glazing are recorded.
Save a side view that shows both wheels, then photograph the other side and underside. Keep the wheel pattern and cabin details with the body color in your notes. Replaced wheels should remain part of the description.
The orange Treasure Hunt shown here
The 1996 Treasure Hunt is fluorescent orange with yellow headlight covers, a gold windshield logo and tan interior. It is collector #429, series number 10, with Pro-Circuit wheel variations recorded.
The picture identifies the release; it is too small to authenticate every component of another car. Ask for clear close-ups when a seller claims a particular wheel combination.
Inspect the pointed nose, roof edges and rear wing for damage. Do not assume this toy has opening scissor doors because a full-size Countach or a different miniature does. For an older loose example, the condition checklist covers repairs and originality.
