Team TrailerThe race-team home on wheels
Team Trailer brings a small race-team living space to the Heavyweights lineup. The white example pictured here has Racing Team lettering, a blue door, blue-tinted windows and a star stripe across the roof. Photograph that roof as well as the sides; it is easy to miss part of the decoration in a low-angle listing.
Red and white cabs
The original Hong Kong Team Trailer is documented for 1971 and 1972. Cabs came in Spectraflame red or enamel white, with dark or white interiors. The reference records one trailer configuration.
Keep the cab finish separate from the trailer description. A different cab color does not by itself establish a different trailer edition, and a compatible attachment is not proof that two loose pieces originally left the factory together.
Check the roof, door and windows
On the photographed example, the roof stripe, side lettering and blue door give you several small details to compare. Look for rubbed decoration, uneven label edges, cracked glazing and damage around the door opening.
White plastic and white paint can age differently. Take another photograph in neutral light before deciding whether a color difference is staining, a repair or simply the camera setting.
Inspect the connection without stressing it
Ask for an underside view of the cab and trailer connection. Look for glue, missing pieces or a makeshift repair, and check whether the wheels sit squarely. Repeatedly pulling an old joint apart is not a useful demonstration of condition.
A packaged example needs a full view of the large blister, including its corners. List a loose button, card or modern protector separately from the vehicle.
The Fire Engine puts a ladder-equipped rear body behind a similar cab. Compare individual carded collectibles by their actual contents and packaging condition.
Check the whole offer before making room for it
The vintage Team Trailer is not a modern Team Transport pack. A separate car posed beside it may be there for scale, so confirm what is included.
Measure the assembled truck before choosing a display compartment, leaving space to pick it up without loading the connection. If an offer calls it a 1973 release, ask what supports that date. A later sale or remembered purchase does not establish a different trailer configuration.
