Vetty FunnyThe white Poppa Vette release
Poppa Vette is the white, checker-patterned release of Vetty Funny. Its oversized rear tires and exposed engine make the funny-car body easy to recognize. The important distinction is the decoration: this is the Corvette-lettered car, not the earlier white Corvette Fever version.
The 1986 Poppa Vette
Item 2528 has a white body, black, yellow and red decoration, blackwall wheels and a Malaysia base entry. The reference example shows Corvette lettering through the checkered side graphic, an arrow across the hood and a yellow roof panel.
Compare those printed details together. White paint by itself also fits other releases of this body.
Where the other names fit
Vetty Funny began with the gray Mongoose-decorated release in 1979. A white Corvette Fever version is listed for 1983. The 1990 California Custom car was sold as Corvette Funny Car and carries number 12 decoration. Those are useful comparisons when a loose example has lost its card.
Exhaust pipes and body fit
The side exhausts project below the body and are easy to miss in a top view. Ask for low photographs of both sides, especially if one pipe cluster looks shorter or duller than the other.
Check the engine opening, rear spoiler and body hinge for broken edges or glue. Let an opening body move only if it moves freely; a seized hinge is not worth breaking for an identification photo. Use the loose-car inspection checklist to record repairs separately from ordinary paint wear.
