Gold chrome and the blue #224 family

The 1987 Speed Demons release is gold chrome with Ultra Hots. The 1990 #53 entries have a pink toy-gun component, unpainted Malaysia base and either Hot Ones or Ultra Hots wheels.

The 1993 #224 changes to blue chrome with face and chest artwork. Chrome-pink and chrome-purple accessory combinations are recorded with Ultra Hots. Those colors identify documented configurations, not a rarity ranking.

Compare the reflective parts under the same neutral light. A pink component can look purple when it reflects a colored background. Save an overhead image with the whole robot visible instead of relying on a tightly cropped detail.

Look closely at the projecting parts

The early design combines a plastic robot body and accessory with a metal base. Check the accessory tip, its attachment area and the body edges for breaks or glue. Do not pull a part off simply because a seller calls the toy an action figure.

On chrome finishes, ask for soft-light photographs from two angles. A dark patch might be a reflection; an apparently clean high point might be missing plating. Record actual surface wear separately from the claimed variation.

The red Treasure Hunt and later redesign

The pictured 2018 Treasure Hunt is red with white-and-yellow decoration, a gray accessory and a black base. The Treasure Hunt flame symbol is on one knee. It belongs to HW Robots, number 4 of 5.

A 2021 redesign omitted the accessory. Its absence therefore needs to be judged against the actual version, rather than called damage on every Zombot.
