Official Identification

Official Identification

Collector catalogs associate FBD29 with the sky-blue Surf's Up wagon. Exact photographs agree with its JNC Surf Patrol stripes, number 71, red five-spoke wheels and front-card positions. The individual toy number is separate from an assortment code; the separately photographed card back prints assortment L2593.

Variation Summary

Variation Summary

This is the painted sky-blue version. The 2017 FBJ01 ZAMAC release has an unpainted body, yellow wheels and different stripe colors, despite sharing Surf's Up 3/5. Those releases remain separate records.

Packaging Details

Packaging Details

The long blister card contains one wagon. It shows Surf's Up 3/5, collector 277/365, a 3+ age mark and the Guaranteed for Life text. The hood and rear views photograph the car through its blister; they are not separate loose examples.

A separately photographed FBD29 card back prints FBD29-D9B0N, assortment L2593, UPC 887961367614 and Made in Malaysia. It comes from a source showing both regular and ZAMAC wagons; only the back explicitly marked FBD29 is assigned here. Regional package differences remain undocumented.

Casting History

Casting History

Jun Imai designed this modified five-door 1971 Datsun 510 wagon, which debuted in 2013 Boulevard. The wagon tooling is separate from the two-door Datsun Bluebird 510. FBD29 brought JNC Surf Patrol decoration to the 2017 mainline Surf's Up mini-series.

Collector FAQs

Collector FAQs

What do 3/5 and 277/365 mean?

3/5 is the Surf's Up mini-series position. 277/365 is the printed 2017 collector number; neither is a production quantity.

Is this the ZAMAC wagon?

No. FBD29 has sky-blue paint and red five-spoke wheels. FBJ01 is the distinct unpainted ZAMAC release with yellow wheels.

Are these Real Riders?

No. This cataloged mainline release uses five-spoke plastic wheels and tires; red wheel plating does not make it a premium Real Riders release.
