2008 Hot Wheels Datsun 240Z M0427 — Spectraflame red | MM-512888

Official Identification

Modern Classics program references identify M0427 with a zero for the Datsun 240Z, including the red recolor. One casting-table row prints MO427 with a letter O. This guide uses the corroborated program identifier; the existing collector URL is preserved.

Variation Summary

Keep this Spectraflame red recolor separate from the black Modern Classics release. Both are cataloged under M0427 and #2 of15. The finish, stripes and red-lip OH5 wheels identify the red version.

Physical Details

The documented specification is an unpainted metal base, gray interior, clear windows and manufacture in Thailand. Black and white stripes decorate the Spectraflame red body. The photograph supports the visible color and red-rim wheel appearance; tire material, exact base stamp and universal package revision remain unknown.

Packaging Details

The photographed original front card bears the Hot Wheels 40th Anniversary emblem, Modern Classics label, Datsun 240Z name, #2 of15 and Asst.L8373. One car is visible in the blister. The barcode and card-back suffix have not been verified. An earlier copyright date does not change the documented 2008 program release year.

Casting History

Phil Riehlman's original Datsun 240Z casting debuted in the 2006 First Editions series. Its racing body has covered headlight recesses. This Modern Classics release uses that original casting, which is separate from later Custom 240Z tools.

Notable Related Releases

The black 2008 Modern Classics variation provides the direct same-program comparison. The 2006 First Editions versions mark the casting debut; the 2011 Treasure Hunt and Super Treasure Hunt releases are later distinct records.
