Convert the appropriate LGB Uintah or Sumpter Valley locomotive to smaller No. 1-scale Kadee coupling with the 1783 kit. A modified front coupler and mounting bracket are paired with a large-offset coupler in a truck-mount gearbox.
Features and package contents
- One pair: two couplers for the specified front and rear mounting arrangements.
- Includes draft gearbox and lid, mounting bracket, keeper, No. 1783 spacer, flat centering spring, three coil centering springs and three mounting/assembly screws.
- Original-style No. 1 coupler size, corresponding to a 1:32 scale ratio.
Compatibility and installation
Assembly and locomotive modification are required; use the 783/1783 instructions. Kadee lists LGB Sumpter Valley 20892/21892 and Uintah 20882/21881 applications. Confirm the exact production version and check height, clearance and return-to-center action. The modified front coupler is not interchangeable with a standard New Generation Type E head. Locomotive and tools are not included.
