• HISTORY ASPECTS:
• The McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle is a legendary fighter plane that has served the United States Air Force for decades. In 2020, the U.S. Air National Guard's 173rd Fighter Wing proudly operated a squadron of F-15C Eagles. These high-performance aircraft were part of a proud legacy that began with the F-15's maiden flight in the 1970s. The F-15C variant was a formidable air superiority fighter, armed with a 20mm M61 Vulcan cannon and a range of air-to-air missiles, including the AIM-7 Sparrow and AIM-9 Sidewinder. With its powerful Pratt & Whitney F100 turbofan engines, the F-15C could reach speeds of Mach 2.5 and altitudes exceeding 65,000 feet, making it an icon of American air power.
• These F-15C Eagles from the U.S. ANG 173rd Fighter Wing played a vital role in safeguarding American skies and participating in numerous joint training exercises, honing their skills to perfection. However, the F-15C's legacy extends beyond training and homeland defense. These formidable aircraft have seen combat in various conflicts, most notably in the Middle East, where they have enforced no-fly zones and conducted air-to-air missions during Operations Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Inherent Resolve. The F-15C's combat record showcases its unmatched capabilities in aerial combat, earning the respect of both pilots and adversaries.
• Now, aviation enthusiasts and collectors have the opportunity to own a meticulously detailed 1:72 scale model. This exquisite model faithfully replicates the aircraft's features, from its distinctive twin tails to the fine details of its weapons systems. Whether you're a history buff, a military aviation enthusiast, or simply a collector of finely crafted scale models, this F-15C Eagle model is a must-have addition to your collection. Display it with pride and remember the legacy of this iconic aircraft that has defended the skies with unparalleled excellence.
