• The Sherman M4E8 (105) HVSS with deep wading gear was a medium tank used by the US Army during World War II. It was developed as an improved version of the M4 Sherman and was equipped with a 105mm cannon, making it more effective against German armor. The deep wading gear allowed the tank to be amphibious, which was useful in island-hopping campaigns like the Battle of Okinawa.
• The 711th Tank Battalion, which was composed primarily of African American soldiers, fought with distinction on Okinawa, providing support for infantry units and engaging in tank battles with Japanese armor. The Sherman M4E8 played a crucial role in these battles, providing the US Army with an effective weapon against enemy tanks and fortifications.
• The 1:32 scale model of the Sherman M4E8 (105) HVSS with deep wading gear is a highly detailed and accurate representation of this iconic tank. With its realistic paint job and intricate design, this model is perfect for collectors and history buffs alike. Whether you're a seasoned model builder or just starting out, the Sherman M4E8 (105) HVSS with deep wading gear is a must-have for anyone interested in the history of armored warfare.
