Identify the donor first. A part is useful only when its dimensions, quantity and assembly method suit the model you are working on.

Choose the package that matches the task

Axles in a package do not automatically have the length or retention system your donor needs. Likewise, a tire-only pair must fit the wheel's tire seat before you evaluate its body clearance.

Use the guide for the problem you are solving
You have not chosen sizes yet
Use the wheel measurement worksheet. Record complete tire diameter, width, inner wheel spacing and axle details separately at the front and rear.
You are unsure what the package includes
Read the wheel-swap kit contents guide. Compare the description and selected option rather than treating a category tag as the packing list.
The replacement rubs or wobbles
Start with the troubleshooting table. Identify the contact or alignment problem before buying another wheel style.
You want to keep the body closed
Review the no-drill wheel-swap guide. No-drill describes a method choice; it does not guarantee that every original part remains unchanged.
You are finishing a donor from the beginning
Follow the custom build sequence. Dry-fit before painting and test the chosen finish system on a suitable sample.
Make one complete parts list
Separate the components already supplied, the reusable tools you own and the additional items needed. Check quantity and compatibility before adding extras to the cart.
A prepared donor does not automatically include aftermarket wheels, tires, upgrade axles, paints or workshop tools. A complete wheel set is not a complete car. Read each offer according to its actual contents.
Do not infer that replacement bodies, electronic accessories or a particular mounting tool are available merely because an old article mentions them. A current product listing is the place to establish the offer.
Check the assembly, then document the custom
Test the wheels with the body and interior in place. Confirm secure attachment, even tire seating and the clearance needed for rotation. Keep paint and adhesive away from moving hubs.
Adults should handle sharp parts, drilling and chemical finishing using the correct tools, protection and secured workpiece. Follow the instructions for the specific materials.
Record the modifications when the car is finished. A rubber-tire upgrade changes the model; it does not make a mainline an original factory premium or prove improved racing performance.
