The extra equipment on the hood immediately separates this DeLorean from the other time-machine castings. The wheels are just as useful: early releases have red hubs and whitewalls, several later editions use brown railroad wheels, and the 2026 car returns to the whitewall arrangement.

What to look for
The 1955 name identifies the casting, not its release year. Compare the toy code and wheel setup first, then look at the body finish. Unpainted bodies, the 2025 metalflake-silver car and the polished 2026 release can look deceptively similar under bright light.
