How Muncle Mikes researches collector records

Important casting and variation facts should be checked against multiple sources whenever possible. Research can include official manufacturer material, packaging evidence, original photographs, documented collector references, marketplace records and other reliable supporting evidence.

Publishing rules

• Write original descriptions instead of copying source text.
• Separate identification facts from future valuation conclusions.
• Do not treat a single community source as automatically conclusive.
• Use images only when owned, licensed, submitted with permission or otherwise authorized.
• Flag conflicting facts for review instead of silently guessing.
• Require market evidence before a future value result is published.

Corrections

Collector data changes as new variations and evidence are discovered. Records should show their verification state and can be corrected when stronger evidence becomes available.
