1990 Hot Wheels Lime 3-Window ’34 Real Riders: Collector Guide

The neon-lime 1990 Hot Wheels 3-Window ’34 with Real Riders is a California Custom hot rod. Its bright body should not be confused with the later metallic-lime #196 release.

Identify the neon-lime Real Riders combination
The 3-Window ’34 study records a 1990 neon-lime California Custom with blue cabin and fenders, gray Real Riders, and orange-and-blue decoration. The later metallic-lime #196 uses different component and wheel combinations.
Inspect the tires and blue fenders
Ask for low side views showing each wheel face and the fender edges. Look for cracked or unevenly seated tires, missing pieces and repair adhesive. Ask whether the wheels, axles or plastic components were transferred from another example.
Do not pull old tires off to test their material. A clear condition disclosure is more useful than a risky demonstration. Keep tire condition separate from the quality of the lime paint.
Check the roof and exposed engine
Request a full overhead image showing the roof lettering and a front-quarter photograph of the engine detail. Inspect for chips, rubbing and restored print. A side-only listing may omit the most useful variation evidence.
Ask whether the body has been opened or repainted. A matching combination can be assembled from parts, so catalog resemblance is not proof of untouched factory originality.
A different 3-Window ’34 to collect

Our silver flame ’34 is a different finish for a hot-rod shelf. Its listing does not establish a specific release year. Choose the actual car and visible condition rather than applying this article's 1990 date to it.
Keep lime wheel versions distinct
The lime Turbo Wheels guide covers another wheel and print comparison. An aftermarket rubber-tire conversion of that vehicle would be a custom, not evidence that it originally belonged to this Real Riders edition.
For an original-package collection, request complete front-and-back images and readable identifiers. Compare dated completed sales with matching components, originality, condition and packaging, including shipping. Do not mix later metallic-lime cars or restored examples into one generic price range.
Lime Real Riders questions
Is every lime ’34 the same California Custom?
No. Distinguish neon and metallic finishes and check the full component and wheel configuration.
Is the silver shopping car the vintage lime reference?
No. It is a clearly labeled separate loose-car offer.
