Before you choose
- Kit or paint
- This department includes kits and paints. Use the product type and exact manufacturer reference to identify the purchase.
- Subject and version
- For kits, compare scale, vehicle or aircraft version, included options and assembly requirements.
- Paint system
- For paints, check the range, color code, finish, size and application directions. A matching color name does not establish material compatibility.

Two different car-building projects
The Toyota GR86 24361 kit is a 1:24 road-car project with an opening hood and flat-four engine detail. Its assembled dimensions are 178 × 74 × 55 mm; paint and model cement are sold separately.
The Honda RA272 20043 kit represents the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix car at 1:20, with clear engine-cowling sections and a removable nose. The completed model measures 194 × 83 × 41 mm. Both measurements are length × width × height. These kits require assembly and finishing; allow extra display space for raised or removed bodywork.
Choose the project, then prepare the bench
Use the first Tamiya car kit guide to compare project choices, or the GR86 and BRZ generation guide to identify the right sports car.
Match the color code, paint range, finish and container size to the kit instructions, then browse model paints and finishing supplies. Prepare hobby tools and building supplies around the kit instructions, or browse the wider plastic model kit collection for another subject.
Read the guide for your kit
Plan the body finish, window masks and engine-bay work with the Tamiya GR86 24361 preparation guide. For the 1965 Honda, use the RA272 20043 build-planning guide to choose Ginther or Bucknum markings and decide how to display the clear cowling.
