MINI GT Skyline R32, R33 or R34: Which Release Should You Buy?

Choose the Skyline generation first, then the release that matches your display. Our R32 options include a car-and-figure set and Veilside treatments; the R33 and R34 offer a coordinated NISMO CRS pairing. A Kaido House R34 adds another route for buyers who specifically want custom graphics and a documented opening hood.
Compare MINI GT Skyline releases
Choose an R32 for its exact presentation
The Gunmetal Grey R32 with Tsugio Matsuda figure, MGT00869, explicitly includes a figure. That makes it a useful choice for a small scene without assuming a separately pictured accessory comes with an ordinary single-car release.
The grey R32 Veilside Combat C-I, MGT00971, instead identifies a particular modified version. Choose it for that treatment, not as a substitute for the figure set. Both listings identify right-hand drive and an approximate 2.75-inch model length.
Build a consistent R33 and R34 CRS pair
The NISMO BCNR33 CRS, MGT01128, and NISMO BNR34 CRS, MGT01160, are both described in Dark Metal Grey Metallic and identified as RHD.
The shared finish makes them a deliberate pairing while the R33 and R34 remain different vehicles. Record the complete BCNR33 or BNR34 designation when ordering. A search for a grey Skyline alone is too broad to protect an exact-generation purchase.
These two listings describe rubber tires, diecast metal bodies and chassis, and blister packaging. An opening hood is not documented in the descriptions checked, so buyers prioritizing that function should compare a release where it is explicitly listed.
When the Kaido House R34 is the better match
The R34 Kaido Star Racing V1 number 25, KHMG197, uses grey metallic paint, a black hood and graphics. Its description lists alloy wheels and an opening hood.
This is the choice for that custom theme and documented function—not the same specification as the BNR34 CRS. A collector can reasonably want both, but the reason is their contrast, not a claim that one replaces the other.
Choose a collecting plan before buying a second Skyline
For a generation display, take one clearly identified R32, R33 and R34 and label them by their actual releases. For a coordinated finish, start with the two CRS examples. For a scene, the R32 figure set offers an explicitly included extra. For an engine-bay display, investigate the Kaido House R34's opening-hood presentation.
The Kaido House R34 is listed at approximately 3 inches long, versus 2.75 inches for the other examples here. Those catalog estimates are enough to prompt a fit check, but not to guarantee compartment compatibility.
Final checks for an exact-model gift
Compare the recipient's existing item codes, not just their car names. Confirm whether they collect packaged models or loose displays, and avoid promising a figure or opening feature that belongs to a different release.
