The red Drag Strip GTO
HCT74 is the red 2022 HW Drag Strip release, carrying series number 2/10 and collector number 182/250. Large Pontiac lettering and layered graphics fill the sides. It is a busier treatment than the earlier Factory Fresh cars, and it rewards a close look at the printing rather than just the paint color.
The black HCX70 car belongs alongside it if you collect the 2022 recolors. Its yellow wheels change the look substantially. The ZAMAC edition goes further still, replacing the painted body with a silver metal appearance and blue details.

What to check before buying
A small paint chip can break up the red edge around a graphic without being obvious in a distant photo. Ask for both sides, then inspect the hood scoops and front corners.
Check the gray wheel faces for scuffs and the axles for bends. When shopping for a carded example, read the color from the toy itself and look for blister damage near the taller hood.

Is this the same car as the orange Factory Fresh release?
It is the same casting, but a different edition. The red HCT74 car is from 2022 and wears race graphics; the orange GRX32 car is from 2021.
Which 2022 color pairs with this one?
The Phantom Black HCX70 release shares the Drag Strip numbering. The ZAMAC HCY37 edition is another distinctly different 2022 option.
