Caboose Industries 103R rigid hi-level switch stand is a manual ground throw for HO and S scale turnouts with .190-inch travel. The operating high-level stand is patterned after prototype switch stands used by the Milwaukee Road and other railroads.

The 103R includes six target pieces, including lantern and square/diamond forms, plus target rod material. A 180-degree handle movement turns the target 90 degrees through the stand's gearing. A shim and five selectable turnout fittings are supplied for common turnout brands including Atlas, Roco, PECO, Micro Engineering, Shinohara and compatible designs.

Because this is a rigid 100R-series stand, the modeler supplies the spring link between the ground-throw slidebar and turnout throwbar. This configuration is useful when scenery, structures, or nearby track require the switch stand to be mounted away from the turnout.
