’81 Toyota Starlet KP61 Collector Guide
The ’81 Toyota Starlet KP61 takes a compact hatchback and gives it broad fenders, a low front spoiler and a planted stance. Each of these four releases brings out a different side of it: clean red paint, purple Work Wheels graphics, pale seafoam with stripes, and glowing orange Ultra Hots paint.

A little hatchback with plenty of attitude
Red GRJ95 is the 2021 Car Culture Toyota release. Purple HCK11 followed in the 2022 Ronin Run assortment with Work Wheels branding and bronze-colored wheels. Seafoam HRT02 joined J-Imports for 2024, while orange JBY66 moved the casting into Ultra Hots in 2025. The two Car Culture cars use Real Riders; the later releases have different wheel styles.

Choosing one for your collection
Look closely at the front spoiler and the outer fender edges. Those are the first places to inspect on a loose Starlet, especially if it has spent time in a mixed box of cars. A low front view shows both the stance and any damage around the bumper.
Wheel choice changes the look as much as the paint. Compare the actual wheels with the release photo, then inspect the rear hatch and lamp printing. On a carded example, glare from the blister can hide the small rear details.
Collector questions
Are all four Starlets premium Real Riders releases?
No. The red Toyota and purple Ronin Run cars are Car Culture releases with Real Riders. The seafoam J-Imports and orange Ultra Hots editions have their own wheel styles and packaging.
