Holden CommodoreThe white SV car on the international card
The bright SV decoration gives this otherwise plain white Commodore its character. In the photograph, the pink stripe runs through a jagged yellow-and-black design, with the small sedan sitting below its much larger card illustration. The card is useful evidence here: its 9713 item number helps pin down the release.
What belongs on the 1991 white car
The first release is cataloged as an international 1991 issue, item 9713. Its white body carries SV graphics in yellow, pink and black, with a red interior, tinted windows, white Malaysia base and blackwall wheels. The body is metal; the base, windows and interior are plastic.
The package view shows the side decoration well, but not the underside. For a loose car, ask for a base photograph rather than assuming the country marking and base color from this picture.
Keep the casting names straight
This is the early Holden Commodore casting. The later SS Commodore VT is a different model, and the related Police Cruiser has its own release history. A listing headed simply “Holden” needs a closer look before its details can be used to identify this car.
The SV letters are especially useful in a side view. Look for the whole design, including the stripe extending toward the rear wheel, rather than accepting a white body as a complete match. Small graphic losses can disappear against the white paint.
A closer look before adding one to the shelf
On a carded example, look through both ends of the blister for paint chips and a bent axle. The card illustration is not a condition photograph of the toy. Confirm that the card and car shown are the actual pair being offered.
For a loose car, request views of both sides, the roof and the white base. Check around the wheel openings and window edges for paint buildup or touch-ups. Neutral light helps distinguish yellowing from a warm photograph.
There is no reason to assign a rarity grade from the international package alone. When comparing loose Hot Wheels with carded examples, keep repairs, graphic wear and packaging condition in the comparison.
