’04 Mazdaspeed Miata Collector Guide
The red Boulevard Miata keeps the NB’s lines easy to see. The gray two-pack car adds bronze-colored wheels and red seat accents, while the ZAMAC and Neon Speeders editions go much louder with their decoration. Compare all four here, with a separate guide for each release.

Four ways to collect the NB
This casting joined Hot Wheels Boulevard in 2023 as number 75. Look for the fixed headlights, open cabin and rounded NB body; the ’91 and ’15 Miata castings represent different generations. The 2024 gray version came with a white RX7 FC Pandem in a Car Culture two-pack. The 2025 Collector Edition uses an unpainted-metal appearance, bright green wheels and number 3 graphics. Black paint, orange interior and 04 door markings distinguish the 2026 Neon Speeders car.

Choosing one for your collection
On a loose Miata, start with the windshield frame and the upper edges of the doors. They sit exposed when the car is handled or stored with other models. A view from above is useful for checking the seats, windshield and cockpit; ask for the underside too if the release or construction is unclear.
Keep the original package when the edition matters to you. A gray Miata alone is not a complete Car Culture two-pack, and a seller’s model-year label does not establish the Hot Wheels release year.
Collector questions
Does “’04” mean Hot Wheels released this casting in 2004?
No. It names the car being represented. The Hot Wheels casting debuted in 2023 in Boulevard; the 2026 Neon Speeders package also spells the model year out as 2004.
