2016 ’11 Corvette Grand Sport DHP53 — Treasure Hunt

The red DHP53 Treasure Hunt has white hood stripes, narrow side graphics and a circle-flame marking on each door. The three MM photographs show one loose specimen, including its wheel and glazing wear; the package-front reference below shows a different carded example of the release.

Physical Details

The actual MM photos show a reflective red finish with a pair of broad white hood stripes and narrower side decoration. A white circle-flame emblem is visible near the rear of each door, while small Hot Wheels lettering sits above the front fender vents. The cabin is dark and the glazing is tinted.

The wheel faces have five bright trapezoid-shaped outlines against black centers. HWtreasure identifies these as Trapezoid 5-Spoke wheels and documents a black interior and black plastic Malaysia base. The base description is catalog evidence: none of the MM photographs exposes the underside. Reflective red paint alone does not make this a Super Treasure Hunt.

Packaging Details

The carded reference has a blue Hot Wheels header, orange HW Digital Circuit strip and controller icon. The upper-right collector number is 22/250 and the series number is 2/10. The ’11 Corvette Grand Sport name sits below the blister. The upper-left QR code and Scan & Race callout document the period card design; this guide has not tested the old linked service.

Carded release reference: a different example from the loose MM specimen.

The MM specimen is sold loose, with no retail packaging or scenery. The front-card reference does not supply an inspected back-panel barcode, product-code suffix, regional panel or factory seal. Record loose condition separately from carded condition.

Variation Summary

The circle-flame door marks, white hood/side stripes and trapezoid wheel outlines distinguish DHP53. A red Grand Sport body by itself is insufficient; compare both doors and wheels together. The bright paint does not change its documented regular Treasure Hunt category.

The white 2026 JJK27 has blue/red graphics and gold wheels. It belongs to Then and Now, with no Treasure Hunt classification documented here.

Choosing a specimen

The actual MM photographs show scratches in the windshield and rear glazing, wear in the white stripes and imperfect bright wheel outlines. Record those separately instead of treating the release designation as a condition grade. A dark roof or bright reflection can conceal glass marks in a small photo.

Check both door flame emblems and all wheels before buying another loose specimen. An underside view helps identify alterations and factory marks; none is available in this reference set.

Matching MM specimen and related inventory

View MM’s loose red ’11 Corvette Grand Sport Treasure Hunt specimen. Its actual three photographs are used in the red guide; the product description states pre-owned condition, stripe/wheel wear and glazing scratches. No retail packaging or display scenery is included. Check the product page for current availability.

This matches the red DHP53 decoration documented here. Broader options are in loose Hot Wheels and finished customs. Customs must be identified as modified collectibles.

Evidence and Research Scope

The two package fronts and three actual MM loose-car photos were inspected for visible decoration, wheel faces and card identifiers. The HWtreasure DHP53 reference documents the regular Treasure Hunt category and catalog base/wheel details. The Hot Wheels Newsletter catalog confirms white JJK27 as 2026 number 189 with PR5 wheels. Package reverse and underside details are explicitly unpictured.

The stored record has zero completed-sale comparisons. An active shop listing is not a completed-sale comparison, and no market valuation, rarity score or forecast is supplied.
