The package identifies this Viper as 236/250 and 9/10 in HW Exotics. HKG71 introduced the newer ’92 Dodge Viper RT/10 casting in 2023. It should not be confused with the older Hot Wheels Dodge Viper RT/10 casting, or with the metallic ruby-red Mattel anniversary release from 2025.

Choosing one for your collection
Check the top edge of the windshield frame and the exposed cockpit. With no roof over the seats, dust and small marks in the interior are much easier to see than on a closed car.
Inspect the front corners and the raised curves over the wheels for paint loss. If a listing just says “red Viper,” ask for a clear side view: the anniversary edition has different paint and side graphics.

Is every red ’92 Viper the 2023 release?
No. HKG71 is Viper Red with restrained decoration. The 2025 Mattel anniversary multipack car has metallic ruby-red paint and anniversary graphics. Color alone is not enough to separate them.
