The Kadee 148-50 bulk pack supplies 50 pairs of No. 148 metal couplers for larger HO fleet-conversion projects. The medium centerset format and integral Whisker springs reduce the separate parts needed when fitting a suitable existing coupler pocket.
Features and package contents
- 50 pairs (100 individual couplers); draft gearboxes are not included.
- Medium 9/32-inch shank, measured from mounting-hole center to the back of the head.
- Standard head; metal shank and knuckle; No. 622 knuckle spring.
- Integral Whisker centering system.
Compatibility and installation
Fits suitable No. 5-style installations and Kadee No. 213, 232, 234, 242, 252 and 262 gearboxes. Check the exact model and pocket depth; some molded pockets require modification. Avoid mounting a metal coupler directly on conductive metal surfaces. Installation and height adjustment are required; car, mounting screws and gearboxes are not supplied.
