Description
Add diesel sound, motor control and lighting functions with the SoundTraxx 882004 Econami ECO-PNP. This universal-style decoder is intended for suitable HO- through S-scale diesel models. Its board format requires an installation planned around the locomotive’s space, motor current and electrical connections.
Features and specifications
- Board dimensions: 74 × 17 × 5 mm.
- Maximum motor stall current: 2 amps.
- Six function outputs, rated at 100 mA each.
- Audio amplifier: 2 watts with an 8-ohm speaker load.
- DCC track-voltage range: 7–22 volts.
- Twelve sound channels, five prime-mover selections, up to seven bells and 16 airhorns.
- Connector for an optional SoundTraxx 810140 or 810160 CurrentKeeper.
- Includes one ECO-PNP diesel digital sound decoder.
Compatibility and installation
Installation and wiring are required. Confirm motor stall current, board clearance and speaker impedance before installation; follow the Econami installation instructions for motor isolation and electrical connections. A compatible speaker, locomotive, CurrentKeeper, DCC system and installation tools are not included. The CurrentKeeper connection allows an optional energy-storage module to support performance over brief interruptions in track power.
