Oxford N-Scale Ford Cars: Escort, Capri, Cortina or Fiesta?

Match the Ford's generation before its color. Oxford's Escort Mk2, Capri Mk3, Cortina MkIII or MkV and Fiesta Mk1 are different subjects in 1:148. A model of a remembered family car needs the right body, not merely a familiar blue or red finish.
Escort Mk2 or Capri Mk3?
The Carnival Red Escort Mk2, NESC001, is listed at approximately 1 inch long. Choose it for that exact Escort generation rather than assuming all Escort models share the same shape.
The Diamond White Capri Mk3 with black stripes, NCAP003, is approximately 1.25 inches long. Its Capri identity and stripe treatment make it a different purchase from the plain red Escort, not simply a longer equivalent.
Cortina: distinguish the generation and roof treatment
The Electric Monza Blue Cortina MkIII, NCOR3005, lists a black top. The Cosmos Blue Metallic Cortina Mk5, NFC5002, also has a black top, but represents a different generation.
A Cardinal Red Cortina MkV, NFC5001, offers another finish. MkV and Mk5 are Roman-numeral and numeral forms of the same designation; MkIII means Mk3. Do not mistake a title-format difference for a new generation, or overlook the genuine difference between III and V.
These Cortina offers list an approximate length of 1.125 inches. Their similar stated size does not make the bodies interchangeable for a generation-specific collection.
Fiesta Mk1: a separate small-Ford subject
The Nevada Beige Fiesta Mk1, NFF002, is listed at approximately 1 inch. A Venetian Red Mk1 is another separately offered finish in the collection.
Choose the Fiesta when that vehicle is the personal connection or the missing subject in a Ford display. An Escort of a similar listed length is not a substitute for someone who specifically wants a Fiesta.
Match the model to the setting
All the linked offers identify right-hand drive, 1:148 scale, no opening panels and diecast construction with plastic components. They include plastic showcases. The descriptions do not give every car an exact year, trim level or interior color; confirm those particulars when they determine the purchase.
For a layout, use the vehicle generation and available space rather than adding an unsupported production-year claim. For a gift, compare the named body with the recipient's car and select the closest documented offer.
