Double DemonThe early Speed Demons colors
Double Demon has a dragon head at each end, so a single front view misses half the character. The early red and green cars combine that molded creature body with shiny engine details and Ultra Hots wheels. On the green release, the color of the spots is worth a second look.
The red Speed Demons car
Item 2057 is the 1986 red Double Demon, with yellow spots, chrome-colored interior details and Ultra Hots wheels. Red examples are documented with Hong Kong and Malaysia bases. Neither the wheel face nor the body color can settle that country detail without an underside view.
The photographed car shows wear in its yellow printing and wheel finish. Use it to compare the shape and layout, rather than as a standard for mint condition.
Green cars: compare the spots
The light-green set release is documented with yellow spots and with white spots. Both early combinations use Ultra Hots wheels. Photograph the top under neutral light; reflections from the chrome-colored pieces can make pale printing difficult to read.
The references disagree about the country attribution for the white-spotted version. Keep the body decoration and the actual underside marking as separate observations instead of inferring one from the other.
Inspect both ends
Look for broken teeth, damaged fins and repairs around either dragon head. Check the narrow side pieces without flexing them. A clean view of all four wheels helps show whether the car sits evenly.
