’66 Pontiac GTO Collector Guide
The ’66 Pontiac GTO has a long hood, stacked headlights and a small scoop that give it plenty of character before any graphics go on. These four Hot Wheels releases take it from a two-tone Boulevard custom to pale blue, purple Ultra Hots paint and a clean red anniversary edition.

Four looks for the same long, low GTO
The two Boulevard cards show numbers 12 and 32: the gray-over-red car from 2020 and the blue car from 2021. Both pair the GTO body with Real Riders. Purple HRX00 joined Ultra Hots in 2024 with flame graphics and patterned wheels. Red JKY14 wears Pontiac anniversary packaging for 2026. The wheels and decoration are worth checking as closely as the body color.

Choosing one for your collection
Start with the nose. The stacked lamps, divided grille and thin bumper give this casting much of its personality, so a sharp front photograph tells you more than a distant side view. Look for chips around the hood scoop and along the front corners.
The long roof and rear quarter panels catch reflections easily. Turn a loose example under soft light to check those surfaces, then look at the wheel faces and the lower body trim. On a carded car, blister scratches can look like marks in the paint.
Collector questions
Do all four GTO releases have Real Riders?
No. The two Boulevard editions have Real Riders. The purple Ultra Hots car uses Ultra Hots wheels, and the red Pontiac anniversary edition has C5 wheels. Match the wheels to the release as well as matching the paint.
