Product details

Conceal a magnetic uncoupling point beneath suitable model railway track with Kadee 308. This permanent-magnet, delayed-action uncoupler works with the corresponding Magne-Matic coupler system and needs no electrical wiring.

Features and package contents

  • One magnet, one steel intensifier plate and instructions.
  • Magnet measures 2 inches long, 1-1/2 inches wide and 3/16 inch high.
  • Steel intensifier plate is 0.045 inch thick.
  • Specified for HO, S, On3, On30 and O-scale applications with the appropriate installation.

Compatibility and installation

Fit beneath the track following the instructions and test magnetic operation before securing it permanently. O-scale track generally requires two or three magnets stacked with one plate underneath; additional magnets are separate purchases. Some ties may need trimming to place the magnet nearer the rails. Track and couplers are not included.
