Kadee 501 brings the open-braced arch-bar truck style to suitable HO rolling stock. The pair uses 33-inch ribbed-back wheels and sprung metal construction, making it a useful choice when matching older freight equipment or appropriate industrial and maintenance cars.

Features and package contents

  • One pair of assembled truck frames with metal sideframes and sprung bolsters.
  • 33-inch prototype-diameter ribbed back metal wheels; Code 110 wheel width.
  • Nonmagnetic RP-25 wheels and contoured insulated axles.
  • Uses No. 637 truck springs.

Compatibility and installation

Check the bolster, mounting clearance and ride height against your exact car. Mounting uses a suitable No. 2 or 2-56 screw; truck-mounting screws are not included. The trucks are assembled but require fitting to your car. Verify free truck movement, wheel gauge and coupler height after installation. Code 110 describes wheel width, not the required rail code.
