Auto World Supra Models: 1983 Celica Supra Pace Car or 1998 Supra?

Choose the 1983 Celica Supra when the Long Beach pace-car presentation is the attraction. Choose the 1998 Supra when you want that later vehicle in a metallic body finish. These Auto World models share the Supra name and 1:64 scale, but they answer different collecting goals.

The white 1983 Celica Supra is an event-themed subject
Item 64442-AWSP166B identifies the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Official Pace Car in white. It belongs to the Import Legends series and is listed at approximately 2.75 inches long.
The full Celica Supra name, represented year and event decoration should stay together when you compare offers. A plain-color 1983 Celica Supra is a different purchase, even when the basic vehicle name is familiar.
This release is useful for a pace-car collection or a Toyota display that includes event-themed vehicles. The pace-car wording identifies the model being offered; it is not a reason to add an unsupported race result or claim that a driver autograph comes in the package.
The 1998 Supra has two metallic finish choices
The Sedona Sunset Bronze model is 64522-AWSP209A. The Caribbean Green model is 64522-AWSP209B. Both are labeled Modern Muscle and listed at approximately 2.625 inches long.
Choose the exact finish you want rather than reducing the options to brown and green. Neither linked title establishes a movie-car identity, a named tuner conversion or a Turbo trim. Do not add those expectations solely because the 1998 Supra shape is familiar.
Different years or different colors?
Pair the 1983 pace car with one 1998 Supra to emphasize different represented years and body presentations. Pair the bronze and green 1998 cars to emphasize finish variations within the same named subject.
That distinction is useful when buying a gift. A collector asking for the Celica Supra may be interested in that earlier vehicle, not simply any miniature carrying Supra in the name.
The common features—and the limits
All three linked offers list opening hoods, rubber tires, diecast metal bodies and chassis, cabin and exterior detail, and blister packaging. Their descriptions do not establish opening doors, working pop-up headlights or removable roofs.
The approximate lengths concern the models, not their backing cards or the space needed above an open hood. Keep packaging measurements separate when choosing card protectors.
Buy the individual subject or the broader mix
The white pace car appears in the listed 2024 Release 2 Set B contents, where the regular assortment contains two. The 1998 finishes appear in corresponding 2025 Release 3 A/B sets. Our sets-versus-singles guide explains duplicates and possible chase substitutions.
