Auto World AWDC023 Card Protectors: Measure the Card and Blister Before Buying

Choose Auto World AWDC023 for a carded model only after checking both its backing card and the raised blister. The six-pack is described for cards up to 5.5 inches wide by 7.5 inches tall, or smaller, but the package's depth and shape must also fit. A 1:64 vehicle label cannot answer that question by itself.

Start with the complete backing card
Measure the card at its widest and tallest points, including the upper hanger section. Compare those dimensions with the stated 5.5-by-7.5-inch limit rather than measuring only the printed area around the car.
A card larger than the published limit is not an appropriate choice for this protector. Do not bend or trim collectible packaging to make it fit. A card within the stated limit is a candidate for the next check, not proof that the complete package will close safely.
Measure the formed blister as a three-dimensional object
The product description gives bubble dimensions of approximately 4.875 by 1.75 by 4.75 inches. Compare the full raised blister, including its deepest point and projecting corners, with the stated accommodation.
The blister's position on the card matters as well as its size. A deep truck package, an unusual display base inside the bubble or a differently shaped blister can create a mismatch even when the backing card is small enough.
Test placement gently and stop if the protector presses against the car's retail blister or bends the card. A hinged enclosure that snaps shut is useful only when it closes without forcing the packaging inside.
Brand names are a starting point, not a universal fit promise
AWDC023 is described as fitting many Auto World, Johnny Lightning and Racing Champions blister cards. That wording does not establish compatibility with every release from those brands or with every package from another manufacturer.
Match the actual package dimensions rather than relying on a familiar logo. Different product lines, years and special packs can use different cards and bubble shapes.
What is included—and what is not
The offer contains six protectors with a hinged, snap-shut design. The packaged vehicles pictured for illustration are expressly excluded.
The description presents the protectors as a way to help prevent card bending while storing or displaying the models. It does not establish an archival-material certification, UV-protection rating or waterproof seal. Do not choose it on the assumption that one of those additional properties has been verified.
Choose a different format for loose cars
When the vehicle has already been removed from its retail card, a six-pack of individual AWDC008 cases addresses a different need. A six-car AWDC003 interlocking unit groups loose models together.
Decide whether you are preserving the original package or displaying the loose vehicle, then measure for that choice. Compare the current protectors, cases and models in the Auto World collection at Muncle Mikes.
