Are BRP Can-Am Models Remote-Controlled? Diecast vs RC Buying Guide

The Can-Am products linked here are sold as finished diecast collectibles, not remote-controlled vehicles. Their descriptions do not offer a transmitter, powered drive system or battery-and-charger package. Choose them for the model subject and display rather than expecting remote driving.

A large model is not automatically RC
The 1:12 Maverick X3, 68002, is approximately 11.25 inches long. That substantial size can look similar in a photograph to a hobby vehicle intended for driving, but its listing identifies a diecast model with rubber tires and plastic components.
The 1:12 Ryker Rally, 68001, is another larger display option. Its scale describes the reproduction ratio, not a radio system or performance class.
XRC is part of a vehicle's trim name
The Maverick Sport XRC 1000R, 60026, includes XRC in the represented vehicle name. Those letters should not be separated out as a claim that the miniature is radio-controlled.
The same principle applies to Turbo, DPS and other full-size vehicle labels in product titles. They identify the subject being modeled, not a miniature motor, steering-assist unit or functioning turbocharger.
Display features are not powered-operation specifications
Rubber tires describe material. A removable rider describes a supplied figure and how it may be arranged. Neither establishes driven wheels, powered steering or a pull-back motor.
The Winter Maverick X3, 60004, lists rubber tracks, but does not establish powered track operation. Select it for the tracked appearance rather than an expectation of driving through snow.
Check what kind of experience you are buying
For a shelf, desk or miniature scene, choose the exact family, trim, finish and scale you want to see. These are finished vehicles rather than assembly kits, although packaging may still need careful removal.
For remote-controlled driving, the essential specifications would include an explicit control system, power requirements and operating functions. Those are not established in these offers. Do not purchase a diecast collectible on the assumption that missing RC details will be supplied in the box.
Make the gift expectation clear
A collector wanting a model of their own Can-Am may value the correct trim and finish. A recipient expecting a vehicle to drive from a controller wants a different product experience. Confirm that expectation before choosing by appearance alone.
