Oxford Aviation 1:72 Buying Guide: Finished Models, Stands and Display Space

Oxford Beech UC-45J Expeditor Twin Beech aircraft model, item 72BE003

Oxford Aviation 1:72 offers are finished collector aircraft, not interchangeable kits with a universal stand and footprint. Choose the aircraft and documented package, then plan width as well as length for the display.

Stands and openings are item-specific

Me 163B AC073 explicitly lists a stand and no opening panels, with approximate dimensions of 3.25 by 5 by 1.5 inches. Beech 72BE003 also lists a stand and no opening panels, at approximately 5.75 by 8 by 2 inches. Wingspan can therefore drive the shelf depth more than fuselage length.

The Dornier AC048 identifies a 1:72 Do 335 configuration, but its refreshed record does not substantiate the same supplied stand or dimensions. Do not generalize the Beech and Komet feature lists to every Oxford Aviation model.

Protect projections and viewing space

Leave clearance around wings, antennas and tails for removal. A stand can raise the complete arrangement beyond the aircraft body's quoted height, so measure the assembled presentation for a cover.

Match the exact aircraft markings and item code when a historical configuration is the goal. The listing's configuration name is not a complete researched service history, and no operational cockpit or engine function should be inferred. A gallery image identifies the release; it is not proof that every surrounding prop is included.

Choose aircraft identity first and confirm stand, dimensions and openings per item. Reserve enough width for wings and enough handling space to avoid delicate projections.
