Oxford HO Taxi Models: DeSoto, Ford Fairlane or Plymouth Belvedere?

Choose the Fairlane for its NYC Taxi identification, the DeSoto for its San Francisco taxi presentation, or the Plymouth for the Tanner Yellow Cab Co. livery. These Oxford offers are separate 1:87 vehicles, not a taxi assortment with interchangeable city labels.
1960 Ford Fairlane: yellow with a red roof and cabin
The NYC Taxi Fairlane, item 87FF60003, specifically lists a yellow body, red top and red interior. Its approximate model length is 2.375 inches.
Choose it when the advertised New York taxi subject fits your collection. A two-tone roof is part of this release's appearance, not a feature that should be silently replaced with a generic all-yellow cab in your display plan.
A civilian red Fairlane and a blue Massachusetts police Fairlane are also separate releases. Sharing the vehicle year and name does not make those the same taxi offer.
1946–1948 DeSoto Suburban: an earlier taxi subject
The yellow-and-red DeSoto Suburban, 87DS46002, is advertised as a San Francisco taxi, with a reference to The Godfather in the product title. The listing gives an approximate 2.375-inch length.
For a vehicle-focused collection, the earlier DeSoto body is the central reason to choose it. A film-specific buyer should match this exact offer and its packaging rather than assume every yellow DeSoto has the same association. The listing does not establish a supplied film scene, character figure or special moving feature.
1959 Plymouth Belvedere: Tanner Yellow Cab Co.
The yellow Plymouth Belvedere, 87PS59002, identifies Tanner Yellow Cab Co. and is listed at approximately 2.25 inches long.
Choose this miniature for that company decoration and the Belvedere subject. The current offer does not name a city for the company, so do not purchase it on an assumption that it is the same New York or San Francisco livery as the other examples.
One curbside cab or a comparison shelf?
For a tightly defined street, choose one vehicle whose advertised date and location suit the project. A 1960 Fairlane cannot represent a vehicle already present in a scene set in 1950. For a taxi-collection shelf, all three can form a deliberate comparison of different bodies and company presentations.
Check the entire body-and-roof finish before ordering duplicates. A second identical cab can create a fleet, while a different model year and livery creates a broader collection. Neither option is automatically the better use of space.
Check the model format
All three offers describe no opening panels, diecast construction with plastic components and included plastic showcases. The lengths are approximate miniature dimensions, not package measurements. Check the exact code and current availability in the Oxford Diecast collection.
