Motormax 1983 Dodge Diplomat RCMP Blue/White – 1:43: Scale, Subject & Display Guide

Rather than repeating the catalog description for Motormax 1983 Dodge Diplomat RCMP Blue/White – 1:43, this guide turns the scale model cars listing into a decision record. It explains how the Motormax item is identified, how the available evidence should be read, and where confirmation is still required.

Product identity without guesswork

• Exact product: Motormax 1983 Dodge Diplomat RCMP Blue/White – 1:43
• Brand or vendor: Motormax
• Product type: Scale Model Cars
• SKU or catalog key: F977-73412-79472
• Scale stated in the record: 1:43
• Year appearing in the identity: 1983
• Variants reviewed: 1
• Product images indexed: 1

The recorded price at verification was $24.08 before shipping and tax. At least one variant was orderable when the record was checked.

The scale marker 1:43 is part of the exact identity and should be matched before purchase. The year 1983 belongs to the listing identity; it should not automatically be treated as the manufacturing date of the item. The working catalog key is F977-73412-79472. That key should travel with the saved URL and product image so a later comparison does not collapse this item into another scale model cars listing.

Confirmed facts versus assumptions

The source description says: “Motormax 1983 Dodge Diplomat police collector model in light blue and white Royal Canadian Mounted Police graphics. This 1:43-scale diecast model is intended for collector display. Model details Brand: Motormax Vehicle: 1983 Dodge Diplomat Agency: Royal Canadian Mounted Police Colors: light blue and white Scale: 1:43 Item number: 73412-79472 Before you order Review all listing photos for the exact RCMP graphics, wheels, model details and packaging.” This is useful evidence, but it is not expanded beyond what the listing supports. Missing dimensions, materials, compatibility claims or package contents remain open questions.

Practical use and compatibility

For a diecast or scale collectible, the subject name alone is insufficient. Compare body casting, finish, graphics, wheel design, interior, base markings and packaging format. On Motormax 1983 Dodge Diplomat RCMP Blue/White – 1:43, the exact photo set and SKU F977-73412-79472 are the reference pair; a model with the same vehicle name but a different wheel, road number or package is a different release.

Condition language must also match the format. A loose item is judged from the photographed surfaces and axles, while a packaged item adds card, blister, box and seal condition. A finished custom should be assessed for workmanship and disclosed modifications; a build kit should be assessed for included parts and fitment rather than as a completed collectible.

Where similar listings differ

Similar diecast products often differ in small, high-value details. Review the wheel spokes, tire profile, base color, glazing, interior, license or race markings and package code. The aim is not to assign a grade from a distance but to confirm that the delivered item matches the release purchased.

Display and handling should follow the format: loose models need nonabrasive separation, packages need edge and blister protection, and project cars need a documented baseline before disassembly.

Image-by-image verification

The photographed item is part of the specification. With 1 image indexed, a buyer can compare color, form, labels, contents and visible condition before relying on a shortened title. Save the image that best shows the identifier F977-73412-79472.

A final exact-item review

For Motormax 1983 Dodge Diplomat RCMP Blue/White – 1:43, finish the decision by reading the title, product type and SKU as one identity. The vendor is Motormax, the listed product type is Scale Model Cars, and the working SKU is F977-73412-79472. Save those fields together rather than relying on a thumbnail or shortened name. Then compare the received item with the listing image before it is opened, assembled, modified or placed in a collection.

Record anything that affects this exact item: selected option, package condition, quantity received, fit result, installation notes or visible variation. That observation belongs to this product record and should not be generalized to every related release. Keeping the original evidence and the later ownership notes separate makes the article useful for repeat orders, repairs, collection audits and accurate identification.
