This item is best cataloged under its full name and F977-187140. The scale marker 1:18 is part of the exact identity and should be matched before purchase. The year 1992 belongs to the listing identity; it should not automatically be treated as the manufacturing date of the item. That combination protects against accidental substitutions when related products share a subject, color, scale or series.
Reading the source record carefully
The live record provides the following product-specific information: “1992 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Turbo Look Cabriolet in Zermatt Silver Metallic by Norev. This 1:18 scale diecast model is intended for collector display. Review the listing photos for the exact trim, wheels and packaging. Item: 187140.” The wording is treated as a source excerpt, not as a substitute for independent fit, scale or condition checks.
The category-specific decision
For a diecast or scale collectible, the subject name alone is insufficient. Compare body casting, finish, graphics, wheel design, interior, base markings and packaging format. On 1992 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet Zermatt Silver – Norev 1:18, the exact photo set and SKU F977-187140 are the reference pair; a model with the same vehicle name but a different wheel, road number or package is a different release.
Condition language must also match the format. A loose item is judged from the photographed surfaces and axles, while a packaged item adds card, blister, box and seal condition. A finished custom should be assessed for workmanship and disclosed modifications; a build kit should be assessed for included parts and fitment rather than as a completed collectible.
A closer project or collection check
When comparing another example, line up the images in the same order and inspect one feature at a time: front view, side graphics, rear treatment, wheel pattern, roof or hood markings, base text and package. A difference in any of those areas can indicate a variation rather than an error.
For display, choose storage that supports the item without pressing on mirrors, spoilers, blister edges or axles. For a build, dry-fit wheels and moving parts before paint or permanent adhesive. The product format determines which of those checks applies.
The photographed item is part of the specification
The photographed item is part of the specification. With 3 images indexed, a buyer can compare color, form, labels, contents and visible condition before relying on a shortened title. Save the image that best shows the identifier F977-187140.
