This item is best cataloged under its full name and F977-LEG-14663LD. The scale marker 1:72 is part of the exact identity and should be matched before purchase. The year 1945 belongs to the listing identity; it should not automatically be treated as the manufacturing date of the item. That combination protects against accidental substitutions when related products share a subject, color, scale or series.

Planning around the exact item
Use a collector-style inspection on Legion Mustang Mk.IV KH774 RAF 112 Squadron – 1:72: confirm the casting silhouette, visible finish, graphic layout, wheel and tire combination, base details, interior color and package state shown. These details create the release identity. Price or brand recognition alone cannot establish that another car is equivalent.
If the item will be customized, photograph and record its starting condition first. If it will remain original, store it so metal edges, wheels and printed surfaces do not rub adjacent models. The decision depends on the exact item represented by F977-LEG-14663LD, not on a generic diecast workflow.
Where similar listings differ
When comparing another example, line up the images in the same order and inspect one feature at a time: front view, side graphics, rear treatment, wheel pattern, roof or hood markings, base text and package. A difference in any of those areas can indicate a variation rather than an error.
For display, choose storage that supports the item without pressing on mirrors, spoilers, blister edges or axles. For a build, dry-fit wheels and moving parts before paint or permanent adhesive. The product format determines which of those checks applies.
Image-by-image verification
Review all 3 available images in sequence rather than judging the item from the first thumbnail. Front, side, reverse, package and detail views answer different questions. The record is strongest when those views agree with the title and SKU F977-LEG-14663LD.
The short decision checklist

Cataloging and project notes
