Legion Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King Blue Alii U.S. Navy 1:72 LEG-14055LC, product image 1

Rather than repeating the catalog description for Legion Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King Blue Alii – 1:72, this guide turns the scale model helicopters listing into a decision record. It explains how the Legion item is identified, how the available evidence should be read, and where confirmation is still required.

Matching the exact listing

  • Exact product: Legion Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King Blue Alii – 1:72
  • Brand or vendor: Legion
  • Product type: Scale Model Helicopters
  • SKU or catalog key: F977-LEG-14055LC
  • Scale stated in the record: 1:72
  • Year appearing in the identity: 1970
  • Variants reviewed: 1
  • Product images indexed: 3

The recorded price at verification was $139.94 before shipping and tax. At least one variant was orderable when the record was checked.

A correct match requires more than recognizing the brand. The scale marker 1:72 is part of the exact identity and should be matched before purchase. The year 1970 belongs to the listing identity; it should not automatically be treated as the manufacturing date of the item. The SKU F977-LEG-14055LC provides the most efficient cross-check when another listing uses slightly different punctuation or wording.

What the current listing actually confirms

The live record provides the following product-specific information: “Legion Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King helicopter 149925 / UA 26 of Fleet Composite Squadron 1 “Blue Alii” at NAS Barbers Point, Hawaii, in 1970s U.S. Navy markings. This 1:72-scale diecast helicopter is intended for collector display. Model details Brand: Legion Aircraft: Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King helicopter Markings: 149925 / UA 26, Fleet Composite Squadron 1 “Blue Alii” Location: NAS Barbers Point, Hawaii Era: 1970s Service: United States Navy Scale: 1:72 Item number: LEG-14055LC Before you order Review all listing photos for the exact markings, configuration, model details and packaging.” The wording is treated as a source excerpt, not as a substitute for independent fit, scale or condition checks.

Practical use and compatibility

Use a collector-style inspection on Legion Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King Blue Alii – 1:72: confirm the casting silhouette, visible finish, graphic layout, wheel and tire combination, base details, interior color and package state shown. These details create the release identity. Price or brand recognition alone cannot establish that another car is equivalent.

If the item will be customized, photograph and record its starting condition first. If it will remain original, store it so metal edges, wheels and printed surfaces do not rub adjacent models. The decision depends on the exact item represented by F977-LEG-14055LC, not on a generic diecast workflow.

Second-pass inspection

The exact item should drive the decision. A collector seeking an original release, a builder seeking a donor casting and a gift buyer seeking a recognizable subject may all evaluate the same listing differently. Recording those intended uses prevents condition or packaging details from being overlooked.

Keep the invoice, SKU and one reference photograph with the collection record so the item can later be distinguished from a close variant.

Image-by-image verification

The photographed item is part of the specification. With 3 images indexed, a buyer can compare color, form, labels, contents and visible condition before relying on a shortened title. Save the image that best shows the identifier F977-LEG-14055LC.

A disciplined final review

  1. Save the listing URL under F977-LEG-14055LC.
  2. Compare the product image with the expected subject or component.
  3. Check whether optional tools, motors, paint, batteries or accessories are separate.
  4. Verify the intended storage, display or installation space.
  5. Record any unanswered question before checkout.

The collection record worth keeping

The permanent record should answer three questions: what exact item was bought, what arrived, and how it was used or stored. The title and F977-LEG-14055LC answer the first; arrival photographs answer the second; project or collection notes answer the third.

Keeping those layers separate improves future comparisons and avoids unsupported grading.

Gift considerations

The exact title makes this a specific rather than universal gift. Confirm that the recipient wants this release, quantity and format; a closely related item may not be interchangeable.

Decision record for future reference

The final purchase record for Legion Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King Blue Alii – 1:72 should contain the vendor Legion, product type Scale Model Helicopters, SKU F977-LEG-14055LC, selected option, current price and the image used to verify the item. This set of evidence is more durable than a title alone and makes a later duplicate or replacement check much faster.

After arrival, compare the item with that evidence before discarding packaging or beginning work. Note any discrepancy, then record actual fit, condition or performance only after direct inspection. The resulting trail explains both the original offer and the owner’s later experience while keeping the article accurate, specific and reviewable.
