Subaru Impreza WRX Type R STI V Cool Gray – Hobby Japan 1:64: Scale, Subject & Display Guide

The product behind this guide is Subaru Impreza WRX Type R STI V Cool Gray – Hobby Japan 1:64. Because similar scale model cars products can share brand names or photographs, the analysis below keeps the Hobby Japan title, SKU and live image set tied together as one record.

Matching the exact listing

• Exact product: Subaru Impreza WRX Type R STI V Cool Gray – Hobby Japan 1:64
• Brand or vendor: Hobby Japan
• Product type: Scale Model Cars
• SKU or catalog key: F977-HJDM006-21
• Scale stated in the record: 1:64
• Variants reviewed: 1
• Product images indexed: 3

The recorded price at verification was $33.34 before shipping and tax. At least one variant was orderable when the record was checked.

The scale marker 1:64 is part of the exact identity and should be matched before purchase. The working catalog key is F977-HJDM006-21. That key should travel with the saved URL and product image so a later comparison does not collapse this item into another scale model cars listing.

Reading the source record carefully

The product page identifies the item this way: “Subaru Impreza WRX Type R STI Version V in Cool Gray Metallic from Hobby Japan's JDM64 series. This 1:64 scale right-hand-drive collector model is intended for display. Review the listing photos for the exact trim, wheels and packaging. Item: HJDM006-21.” That excerpt anchors the guide, while the gallery, SKU and selected variant provide the remaining evidence needed for an exact match.

Planning around the exact item

Use a collector-style inspection on Subaru Impreza WRX Type R STI V Cool Gray – Hobby Japan 1:64: confirm the casting silhouette, visible finish, graphic layout, wheel and tire combination, base details, interior color and package state shown. These details create the release identity. Price or brand recognition alone cannot establish that another car is equivalent.

If the item will be customized, photograph and record its starting condition first. If it will remain original, store it so metal edges, wheels and printed surfaces do not rub adjacent models. The decision depends on the exact item represented by F977-HJDM006-21, not on a generic diecast workflow.

Second-pass inspection

A good collection note records what is visible and avoids unsupported rarity claims. Write down the exact color wording, graphics, wheel treatment, package condition and any disclosed customization. Market value can change; the product identity should remain reproducible from the record.

Upon arrival, compare the item with the listing images before opening or altering it. Any material discrepancy is easier to document while the original packaging and shipping materials remain intact.

Image-by-image verification

Review all 3 available images in sequence rather than judging the item from the first thumbnail. Front, side, reverse, package and detail views answer different questions. The record is strongest when those views agree with the title and SKU F977-HJDM006-21.

• Fit: scale, dimensions or interface match the intended use.

The collection record worth keeping

After purchase, store the acquisition date, price, seller, SKU F977-HJDM006-21, selected option and one clear image with the project or collection record. Add notes about fit, assembly, condition or performance only after they are observed on this exact item.

This separates verified ownership evidence from later opinion and makes a replacement or repeat purchase much easier.

Gift considerations

The exact title makes this a specific rather than universal gift. Confirm that the recipient wants this release, quantity and format; a closely related item may not be interchangeable.

A final exact-item review

For Subaru Impreza WRX Type R STI V Cool Gray – Hobby Japan 1:64, finish the decision by reading the title, product type and SKU as one identity. The vendor is Hobby Japan, the listed product type is Scale Model Cars, and the working SKU is F977-HJDM006-21. Save those fields together rather than relying on a thumbnail or shortened name. Then compare the received item with the listing image before it is opened, assembled, modified or placed in a collection.

Record anything that affects this exact item: selected option, package condition, quantity received, fit result, installation notes or visible variation. That observation belongs to this product record and should not be generalized to every related release. Keeping the original evidence and the later ownership notes separate makes the article useful for repeat orders, repairs, collection audits and accurate identification.
